It's important that you take good care of resin art moulds, because without proper Mold care, they can get scratched, dusty, or damaged, and this all leads to affecting your final product.

In this blog, we'll help you with how you should clean and store your resin Molds to keep them in great condition for a longer period.

First, Understand Why Cleaning Resin Molds Matters

When you keep your resin Molds clean, they give you proper, smooth, shiny results. However, when you keep your Molds dirty, the results will be totally opposite, resulting in your resin art having bumps or cloudy areas, also the Mold can wear out faster, etc.

So now you understand why keeping the resin Molds clean is important, so let's start with how to do it properly.

Step 1: Gently Wash After Every Use

Always wash your resin art moulds with proper care every time you use them. This habit of yours will make sure that your molds will remain clean and safe, and also, they will get an increased lifespan

Step 2: Use Tape for Sticky Bits

After successfully washing the Molds, if you still find some leftover bits in your mould and you are unable to remove them, then use the masking tape or duct tape and press on onto the surface gently. It will help you to pull out any tiny particles of resin or glitter and other leftovers without damaging the Mold.

After that, you can again wash the Mold.

Step 3: Rinse & Air Dry

Rinse your Mold with clean water to remove the soap that you applied. After successfully rinsing the Mold, let it dry completely.

Also, you mustn't wipe the surface of the Mold with any towel or cloth, as this will leave lint on the surface.

 Step 4: Deep Clean Occasionally

When you pour resin for resin art into the Molds and your art doesn’t come out clean, then this is the sign that even after regular washing, your Mold is still dirty and oily. If you want to solve this problem, soak the molds in soapy water for 5 to 10 minutes, and then you can use cotton for cleaning. Gently remove everything with proper care, and after that, rinse and let it dry as usual. Your Mold is now ready to use.

How to Store Your Resin Molds

Storing the molds carefully is as important as washing the molds, and if you want to store your molds in perfect conditions, then you should follow some below mentioned measures.

·       Store in a separate, clean box or drawer.

·       Use bubble wrap between Molds, and this will prevent them from sticking together.

·       Don't put them directly under the sunlight as this will weaken the molds
